What is it?
Hallux Limitus/Ridigus is a condition that affects the movement of the big toe joint. The toe joint is either limited in the amount of movement available (hallux limitus) or has no movement available (hallux rigidus).
The toe joint feels painful during movement, such as walking or dancing. The pain can feel worse when wearing high-heels.

What is it?
Hammer toes are toes that are bent in an odd position, sometimes like a claw. They are caused by tight muscles underneath the foot. Hammer toes might cause throbbing pain underneath the toes or in the arch of your foot. Straightening the toes may become difficult and you may experience pain when wearing shoes. Sometimes people with hammer toes also get corns and callous on their feet.

A plantar plate tear is when there is a small tear in the thick ligament that joins all 5 toes together. This causes sharp pain under the foot, especially the 2nd toe. Walking or moving up and down a ladder often makes pain worse.
