Arthritis
What is it?
Osteoarthritis in the foot is caused by cartilage wearing between the bones. You might feel pain, aching or tenderness around the big toe. Joints in your foot might be swollen and walking may be painful.
Some things that may lead to Osteoarthritis are:
- Family history
- Normal ‘wear and tear’ on the joints with age
- A previous injury
